Height 9.2cm, Bowl diameter 12.7cm x 17.1cm, Stand diameter 5.2cm
This is a shoestring-shaped tea bowl with the mouth curved at the edge, the waist is narrowed, and the base is carved into a small shape. It is also called a chestnut shape because of the crescent-shaped carving on the tatami mat, which is an odd shape for a shoe-shaped bowl. The mouth rim is covered with a dark iron glaze. One side of the body is decorated with a one-character brush pattern, and the other with a pile-like pattern. The glazed surface has a bluish tinge and is softly fired. It is estimated to have been made at the Tani Kiln of Jioya.
