Height 12.6 cm, mouth diameter 7.8 x 8.5 cm, body diameter 12.5 cm
This is one of the most outstanding of the stone vases.
It is a small, round-shouldered vase with a wide, outwardly opening mouth that is distorted and jostled, and the body is cracked in the kiln. The rounded shape of the jar seems to indicate that it was made before the end of the Momoyama period. The ash glaze falls from the mouth to the body, forming a burnished surface and creating an apologetic appearance. The clay surface is reddish brown.
