This mizusashi has a low, rounded mouth with a tightened body, and is covered with line carving in the itome style from the shoulder to the base of the body. The upper part is covered with an ame glaze and the lower part with an ash glaze. This piece may have originated as a mizusashi in the early Edo period, or it may belong to the tea ceremony ceramics favored by Enshu.
