The beauty and splendor of the glaze color of this Tang-style tea caddy are unmatched. The persimmon-colored glaze is exquisite, with several dark, flowing glaze patterns appearing, changing color along the contours of the vessel, and glaze chips on the adjacent areas, creating a truly fascinating landscape. The mouth, lid, shoulders, and other dimensions are well-proportioned, with the body gently curved to form an elegant shape. There is a slightly low rib on the body, and the clay visible from the bottom is just right. The flat bottom is clean with no scratches, and it has all the characteristics of a well-made tea caddy, including the glaze and appearance. Matsudaira Fumai was particularly fond of this tea caddy and listed it as a treasure.
