I have encountered this tea caddy several times.
This inscription likely originates from the beautiful yellow glaze that appears to be applied. Among the Hafu kilns, the glaze color is particularly outstanding and beautiful. The scene where the glaze flows luxuriantly and beautifully over the Seto-style base glaze, appearing to take on the color of a Japanese maple, is especially fine.
Its form is characterized by slightly flared shoulders and a somewhat rounded base, and the clay is also fired to a soft texture.

The form has a slightly larger hand size, and its weight is particularly pleasing.
It comes with four shifuku (cover pouches). It retains its original set, with the old, matching pouches all present.
The tea caddy known as “Taishōki” is of the same type and is a sister piece to this item.
