Based on its shape, it was once considered a “stone-shaped flower vase,” but it has recently been identified as a piece from the renowned Southern Song imperial kilns.
It features a long neck and a rim with a rounded edge; wheel marks are visible throughout, and it displays magnificent craquelure.
We have identified it as a work of the Longquan Kiln, Shu Neiji.
Even among imperial kilns, pieces from the Jiaodanxia Kiln exhibit even more crackle, which we refer to as “double crackle.”
With its deep celadon hue and a beauty that is both serene and majestic, this is a masterpiece worthy of designation as an Important Cultural Property.
