It is named after the poem “Harimagata Suma no Haruma no Harima ni Mieru ni Mimi wa Kumoi no Mono ni Arikeru” by Zokami Gon Chunagon Sanemune in “Senjyoshu” (A Collection of Senjyoshu). It was owned by the Osaka moneychangers Sumiya and Hakusan Hikogoro, but later became the property of the Fujita Tokujiro family of Osaka. (Taisho Meikikan)
