 In the 16th century, large, tokkuri-shaped vases began to appear in Tamba. Made of high-quality clay with low iron content, it was rolled up with a potter’s wheel and the mouth rim was raised sharply on the potter’s wheel. The mouth rim is sharply raised on the potter’s wheel. The surface of the vessel is shaped with a cat’s paw comb. The surface of the vessel is shaped in a cat’s paw comb pattern. The pottery is well finished with a light brown ground covered with a thin yellowish green natural glaze.
 There is a 3cm long horizontal line engraved at the foot on the shoulder. There is a geta mark on the underside of the bottom.
