Tea Scoop
Having been treasured within the Wakashū Sakai family since ancient times, the scoop itself shows no signs of wear, demonstrating excellent preservation.

Tube
It bears the signature seal of Itamiya Sōfu, “Kōori-kō,” written in Sōfu’s own hand.

Addendum
Itamiya Sōfu was a resident of Sakai. Commonly known as Gensaburō. He was acquainted with Egetsu and Zōan, and was considered a disciple of Enshū. A wealthy man, he possessed many renowned tea utensils. Died on September 18, 1630 (Kanei 7). Aged 65.
