This flower vase is believed to have been imported during the Enshu period.
Enshu wrote “Kiko-nari” on the box. “Kiko-nari” refers to “Kine-nari,” which is commonly known as the lower turnip shape. While there are many elephant-ear designs, this one is unique.
Details regarding the owner, Otsu Hisatsugu, are unknown.
