Although not ancient enough to be called an antique bronze, this is an authentic Tang-style piece.
It possesses a dignified, mature presence; the elephant-ear handles are positioned high on the vessel without regard for balance. Yet, it exudes a tea-like charm, and the golden luster of the brass is magnificent.
It is indeed a flower vase worthy of the discerning eyes of Enshū and Fumai.
Furthermore, the fact that Fumai had a flower arrangement created specifically to match this vase and inscribed it on the box reveals the depth of his appreciation.
